How to really deep clean your skin and why is deep cleansing important in the facial room? Master Aesthetician Patricia from Red Lotus Skin Peel and Lash Salon in Beaverton, talks about how to deep clean skin.
Every time you receive a facial deep cleansing, which can include a gentle brushing, it helps to get down deep into the pores removing traces of makeup, dirt, and oil. However, brush cleaning is not for every skin type, and some skin types may notice too much irritation with brushing and are best with lots of massaging during the cleansing step really working up a lather and allowing a minute before washing it off.
Deep cleansing is important in the facial room because we want the products we are putting onto the skin to really penetrate and be most effective. Cleansing the skin is one of the most important steps because it removes anything that can block another product from being effective to it's full strength. Sometime a double cleansing step is needed with either a milky cleanser and a sudsy cleanser after or even 2 sudsy cleanses. Then, a toning step that may have acids in it, or just hydrating vitamins and plant extracts. Next step is some type of exfoliation that can be as gentle as a gommage' that manually exfoliates while massaging skin with plant extracts that help the skin loosen and roll off. Lite acids, enzymes or microdermabrasion are all forms of more deeply cleansing the skin of debris so the skin will be prepared to accept the treatment to than improve the skin conditions you may have.
